Sweet and Spicy Cranberry Sauce

ingredients
- 1 T Taste OVS Thyme Fused Olive Oil
- 2 T shallots, finely chopped
- 1-2 Jalapeno, finely chopped
- ½ c water
- 2 t orange zest
- Juice from one orange
- 1/3 c sugar
- 1 T Taste OVS Cinnamon Pear Balsamic
- 10 oz. fresh whole cranberries
instructions
In a saucepan over medium heat, sauté the shallots and pepper in the oil. Once translucent, add the remain ingredients except cranberries. Bring the mixture to a boil. Add cranberries and cook, stirring often until cranberries have burst and the mixture has thickened, about 10-15 minutes. Mash the cranberries into the sauce with the back of a spoon. Remove from heat and allow the sauce to cool to room temperature. Transfer to an airtight container and chill or freeze.
